hi everyone! it’s just me! but with a new name, a new look, and an exciting new service!

the #1 question i was asked when i announced the shop closing was “what am i going to do if i have a knitting problem?” and museumgirlknitz was my answer but i just couldn’t share at the time!

museumgirlknitz is my new venture providing all the personalized knitting services you loved at the YARN mart but without the shop overhead! (YEAH!!!!) and the yarn! (BOO!)

i’ll offer the BEGINNER KNITTER CLUB (5:30pm wednesdays) at guillermo’s coffee in little rock. and i’m working on a conway club as well (details to come).

then there are the SERVICES! weekly WHAT THE HELL? meet-ups in little rock will get you back on track. plus private or small group lessons in knitting & needlepoint will round out the offerings.

and of course, CLASSES! i’ll offer some tired and true instruction plus i’m adding some new tricks to my arsenal!

the cherry on top? the blog! you loved it at the YARN mart and i think you’ll love the museumgirlknitz version even more! pattern suggestions! yarns to try! plus shows to watch! food to eat! shortcuts to take!

so where does museumgirlknitz come from? in early 2008 when i FINALLY got my invite to ravelry (remember those?), i had to chose a username! at the time i was working at a local museum, i was obsessed with knitting, and my last name started with a Z! thus MUSUEMGIRLKNITZ was born!
