i used to own a yarn shop in little rock, arkansas. now i work at a library, muse about history, design knitting patterns, and try to parent a wonderfully crazy kid. life is fun most of the time. before i jumped into the yarn business with both feet, i was a public historian – working in museums around little rock, arkansas for about 13 years. through my master’s thesis i became the biographer of katherine carson breckinridge and an expert on the maison redfern.
so where does museumgirlknitz come from? in early 2008 when i FINALLY got my invite to ravelry (remember those?), i had to chose a username! at the time i was working at a local museum, i was obsessed with knitting, and my last name started with a Z! thus MUSUEMGIRLKNITZ was born!
